Parish Church of:

Kea (Old)

The tower of the old church, still standing in the churchyard of old Kea, 3 miles east, is of three stages, with an embattled parapet and crocketed pinnacles, and was repaired in 1883; there is also a mission chapel adjoining, erected in 1862 and opened January 1st, 1863, consisting of chancel, nave of four bays, south aisle and a turret containing one bell; it was enlarged in 1869, and has since been re-seated and greatly improved: the east window is a memorial to Catherine Murray, d. 1857, and there are six stained windows: the chapel affords 75 sittings; in the churchyard is the shaft of an ancient cross.

N.B.  The tower of the old church still remains.
