West Looe

The church of St. Nicholas I a building of stone in mixed styles, consisting of chancel, nave, north aisle, and a western turret containing a clock and one bell; the church was for a long period used as a guildhall, and next for a schoolroom, but was restored to its original use in 1852, and refitted in 1862: there is one stained lancet window representing St. Nicholas: the arcade is constructed of oak, apparently ship timber: there are 150 sittings.
