Newquay, St Michael

Anciently “Towan Blistra”

The church of St Michael was built in 1857, and enlarged in 1873 by the addition of a north aisle and the extension of the west end, and again enlarged in 1881, when a south aisle, organ chamber and vestry room were added at a cost of £576; it now consists of chancel, nave, aisles, vestry and a turret containing one bell; there are sittings for 600 persons.
