The church of St. Andrew, in Clinton road, consecrated on St Andrew's day, 1884 is a building in the Gothic style, with dressings of granite and Elvan stone, erected in 1883, at a cost of £5,500; £500 each being given by the late G.L. Basset esq, of Tehidy (patron of the living), the Rev. J.W. Lane M.A. and F.W. Mitchell esq; the site valued at £500 was presented by Lord Clinton. The church consists of nave, vestry and a basement used as a schoolroom
